Walk In The Light

"Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord. Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them."  Eph 5:10-11

You're in a bind, again?! We all get in binds sometimes. We can step right into traps without even considering where we're placing our feet. Sometimes we step into those dark places on purpose thinking that we're not going to get lost or trapped.

Here's a suggestion from St Paul. "Try to find out what is pleasing to the Lord." Quit working so hard at trying to please the world. You will just find yourself in darkness. Seek the Lord while he may be found. Seek out what will be pleasing to the Lord and you just might find yourself walking in the light and participating in His life; real life.

Snare of the Fowler

Blessed be the Lord,
    who has not given us
    as prey to their teeth.
We have escaped like a bird
    from the snare of the fowlers;
the snare is broken,
    and we have escaped.

Our help is in the name of the Lord,
    who made heaven and earth.

Psalm 124:6-8 NRSV

 

With the help of God, there are no snares that can hold us. There is not need to fear. God is with us and for us.

 

When we feel trapped, we can know that our help is in the Lord. He is with us and will help us escape the snares of our enemies.

 

Trust in the Lord who made all things in the heaven and earth. He will not give us to be prey for those who would consume us.

 

Blessed be the Lord, who is our help and salvation.
