Luke 9:43-48 NIV
Jesus told his disciples, "Whoever welcomes this little child in my name welcomes me; and whoever welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me. For it is the one who is least among you all who is the greatest." (v. 48) So there you go...
Think about your daily life. Do you have children; grandchildren; nieces and nephews? How about children in your neighborhood; do children live next door to you? In thinking about your daily routine, are their needs a priority in your life or are you too busy thinking about yourself? I have seen, all too often, parents who are so engrossed in their "thing" that they push their own children to the side, to the bottom of their list rather than welcome them into their lives, into their daily activities. When this is done; not only are the children being pushed aside; but, Jesus is as well. Remember, that the one who is least is the greatest. Children are one of the greatest gifts of God. Welcome them. Love them. Care for and protect them.
What are you priorities? Who is your God? Do you love the little children even as He loves them?
