Job 11 - No Good News

Isn't this exactly what we want to hear from our friends when we're down and out:  accusations, blame, all law and no gospel?  Not!

That is exactly what Job is hearing.  Who can stand under the law?  No one.  No one can stand.  I can't. You can't.  Job can't.  He's going to need to hear a few words of grace-filled good news soon!

When was the last time you felt like everything was coming against you?  That your world was falling apart?  What was more beneficial to you - to be reminded how many mistakes you made - how many sins you committed - or - to be reminded that you are a child of God and God loves you and forgives you for the sake of His Son, Jesus Christ?

The law is necessary for a variety of reasons (mainly for our own good and the good of the world).  But, so is the good news of God's grace poured out for you.  Without this good news, we would be lost.

God's Peace - Pr. J
